Be a Partner/ Sponsor

We are bringing Bradfords very own mela back. Unlike many other event structures, Bradford City Mela is run by a Community Interest Company which means it for the benefit of the community. The monies invested from partners and investors like yourself help build the event to be bigger and better with all the funds being reinvested to support the event and many other local projects.

Bradford City Mela alongside Royale Festivals Community Interest Company is making a difference to community events with its very own set of goals.

Mission & Vision
  • Reimagine tradition as a platform for everyone: The festival aims to honour South Asian heritage while celebrating Bradford’s broader multicultural identity—underscoring diversity, arts, music, food, and family fun.

  • Build one of the UK’s most inclusive cultural festivals: It emphasizes being accessible, sustainable, and powered by the community—creating a space where “every attendee feels seen, valued, and inspired”.

Key Goals & How Funds Will Be Used

Royale Festivals CIC outlines specific areas where donations will be invested:

  • Artist and storyteller support: Artist fees for diverse performers.

  • Outreach and engagement: Community workshops and school outreach programs.

  • Infrastructure: Creating sustainable setups—eco-stalls, reusable décor.

  • Accessibility: Providing sign language interpreters, mobility support, and other access needs.

  • Youth empowerment: A vibrant youth zone led by young local creatives.

Long-Term Aspirations & Legacy

They envision the Mela as a lasting and growing cultural institution:

  • Reviving the Mela’s former glory: Aiming to become once again “one of the biggest melas in the country” with scale and impact

  • Free entry for all: Keeping the event free while reinvesting funds sustainably as a Community Interest Company (CIC) .

  • Support for local enterprise: Affordable stall pricing, prioritizing local suppliers and reducing carbon footprint.

  • Local talent spotlight: Ensuring over 40% of performers are from Bradford or nearby.

  • Mainstream and grassroots blend: Featuring well-known artists alongside emerging local talents.

  • Expanded reach over time: Possibility of extending into additional parks if the event grows in success.

  • Building internal capacity: Purchasing equipment to reduce hire costs and reinvesting savings into the festival.

  • Engaging educational institutions: Collaborating with colleges and universities to involve young people in event delivery—with paid volunteer opportunities
